The double album Divergence from 1981 followed the famous Convergence of Varga's group Collegium Musicum. Divergences are designed primarily as a profile album of the composer and instrumentalist Marián Varga. Marián presents himself here in all his basic positions, from classical music compositions to original and unmistakable songwriting. Under the name Collegium Musicum, a wide variety of soloists and accompanying musicians perform on the album, dominated by singers Pavol Hammel and Ján Lehotský, or guitarist Ľuboš Andršt. The lyrics for the songs and sung passages were written by Kamil Peteraj.
