Kjell Öhman, who is sadly not with us any-longer, was by many, for example Georgie Fame who he also worked with, regarded as one of the worlds best Hammond B-3 player!
On this album he is in very good company with some of the best musicians in this genre, and last but not least: Arne Domnérus!

This album was released on CD in 1994, but was discontinued many years ago.
On many peoples request, we have now Re-Mastered it for LP, and chosen the 10 best tracks out of 14, while the recording was 76 minutes long.

It is also available as a MasterCopy while it is an analog recording!

"Super Hammond! Steaming hot in every way is The Hammond Connection, featuring Hammond organ in Kjell Ohman and his friends. All of them, not least Kjell himself, seem to be in the very best of swing tempers.

Some numbers also feature that master of alto sax Arne Domnerus, who just seems to go on getting better and better. His playing in Benny Carter's beautiful ballad The Favour of the Fool is in itself worth buying the record for."

(More Music)

When this album of standards came to be planned the choosing of co-performers was the least of my problems!

Arne Domnérus
This was my long-awaited oppotunity of making a recording with the Nestor of Swedish jazz. In the mellow sound of his alto sax, my own Hammond B3 Organ found the perfect companion.

Rune Gustafsson
We played together a great deal in the 60s and 70s, but mostly in studios, and since then we have seen far too little of each other. Rune, to my ears, is one of the really outstanding masters of his instrument.

Leif "Gus" Dahlberg
Good timing, empathy, dexternity of the brushes and a wonderful sence of fun are just a few tings to be said about "Gus". We have played together quite a lot in the past 10 years, and I want to keep it that way.

Mads Vinding
A joyful reunion! We worked together at lot, in Svend Asmussen's Quartet, for a few years in the early 70s. Mads is one of my favorite bass players!

I hope you will have at least half the fun we did, making this recording for a couple of days at the en of March 1994.
