Last great Ozzy-era Sabbath album, shifting from the heavy, gothic sound but still inventive, cohesive, and hard-driving. Rock on!

    Mid 70’s BEAST!!

Posted by Claudio on 5th May 2022

Sabbath does it again with this mid ‘70’s BEAST! From crushing heavy to bluesy groovin’ and back again. Though two more followed, and the legal battles ensued with management during, this turned out to be the last best feat of the Ozzy-led Sabbath albums, comparable in creativity to Vol4, as hard hitting as MoR, and as some might say, a precursor to Ozzy’s solo career. Not to simply focus on the voice, the musicianship of Iommi, Butler & Ward progresses to phenomenal heights on this album. And all comes together exquisitely, especially on vinyl!

I love these songs on Sabotage myself, (Symptom of the Universe) has some of Ozzy's most versatile lyrics of their time back then on it really. Very cool to hear some of their rage they had back then. This is indeed one for the collection. so in conclusion, IF YOU ARE a true Sabbath fan, you know what I'm talking about, as well as to hear Sabbath now in any form clean is a blessing.
