The famous British rock band, whose main character is singer, guitarist and flute player Ian Anderson, was founded in 1967. Jethro Tull originally devoted themselves to experimental blues rock, later their music absorbed elements of classical music, folk, jazz and hard rock. "Benefit" - Pianist John Evans participated in the band's third album from 1970 for the first time. It is also the last recording with bassist Glenn Cornick. Ian Anderson called the record very dark, its atmosphere was due to the tension that arose during the band's previous tour. The album is Jethro Tull's first album to reach millions of sales.

    For Your Benefit!

I had never heard this album before, but Jethro Tull is favorite artist so I knew I would like it. Thick as a Brick, Aqualung, and Songs From the Wood are all really awesome albums, but I'd have to say this is about my favorite.

My favorite Tull album of all time. I still recall listening to it when it was a new release!

I love this album! When the first notes of "With You There to Help Me" hit my ears, I'm back on the floor in my girlfriend's living room, listening to her big sister's record collection, wondering what this strange new music is. Benefit will always be one of my very favorite albums.
