A crescendo of songs that testify to some of the many musical passions of a lifetime: from John Lennon to Bob Dylan, from Cole Porter to Peter Gabriel, from Neil Young to Brian Wilson... all interspersed with some original compositions by Pietropaoli.
"The Princess" is the metaphor of the realization of a dream pursued with determination.
Pietropaoli's love for the "piano trio" is expressed in the miracle of a serious yet light appearance, something ancient yet new, a timeless setting, and it is no coincidence that this work bears the same name as this song.
Enzo Pietropaoli on double bass is accompanied by two excellent musicians: Julian Oliver Mazzariello on piano and Alessandro Paternesi on drums.
All three contributed to creating a dense, deep, yet light atmosphere.
The sound is natural, with a real ring to it.
The master was made with a Studer J37 (1950), 2-track, 1" 38cm/sec.
The mastering was done by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the all-analog, tube-based Signoricci system.
