Among the numerous performances by Maestro Salvatore Accardo recorded by Giulio Cesare Ricci, this album is one of the immortal pieces of the violin repertoire.
It is the Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
On this album, Salvatore Accardo is both violinist and conductor. The orchestra is the OCI - Italian Chamber Orchestra.
For this recording, Giulio Cesare Ricci chose the Associazione Arsenale della Pace – Sermig of Turin.
A very natural sound.
Giulio Cesare Ricci used the legendary and original Neumann U47, U48, and M49 tube microphones.
The master was created with the Ampex ATR 102, 2 tracks, 1/2 inch, 30fps.
The vinyl mastering was done by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the Signoricci system, entirely analog and tube-based.
The songs were recorded without any sound manipulation, without equalization, without reverb, without condensing or expanding the sound.
...a great performance, an album not to be missed.
