Among the thousand divertissements that rotate in Giulio Cesare Ricci's head, there is a piece that seems to have been written for all audiophiles around the world, The Pink Panther, the theme composed by Henry Mancini for the homonymous film by Blake Edwards in the 60s.
The album contains six new interpretations of the historic theme created for fonè by great performers: Fausto Mesolella, Enzo Pietropaoli, Eleonora Bianchini, Riccardo Zegna and Giampaolo Casati, Peo Alfonsi and Salvatore Maiore, Scott Hamilton in trio with Paolo Birro and Alfred Kramer.
This album was recorded by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the Ampex ATR 102 1/2 inch
In addition to the six songs, the album The PINK PANTHER & friends contains two other tracks: Stumpy by S. Hamilton Sax, P. Birro Piano, A. Kramer Drums and Canyon by P. Alfonsi Guitar and S. Maiore Double Bass.
