Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett (born January 6, 1946 in Cambridge, died July 7, 2006 there) - British singer, rock guitarist, painter. A member of the Pink Floyd band, considered one of the most prominent representatives of psychedelic rock.
"Opel" is a compilation of recordings that were not included on the artist's regular albums, released in 1988. The original was also supposed to include two unpublished Pink Floyd recordings by Barrett, "Scream Thy Last Scream" and "Vegetable Man", but the band recently blocked their use.

    I love sid and pink floyd, his lyrics and music style is maybe a little odd but well worth the time.

    I find this to be a treasured album which captures mostly Syd's recording takes on various songs. Any Syd Barrett fan should purchase this album to have in their collection. Highly recommend!
