The symphonic suite SHEHERAZADE marks the beginning of the collaboration between Giulio Cesare Ricci, the great conductor Gianandrea Noseda, and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Regio di Torino.
It is a live recording that preserves the naturalness, dynamics, and realism of what is played.
The recording was made on April 13, 2015, in the natural acoustics of the Teatro Regio in Turin using Neumann U47, U48, and M49 tube microphones, with no sound manipulation, no equalization, no reverb... but with authentic timbre.
The master was made with the Ampex ATR 102 (Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351 - 1965) 2 tracks 1/2-inch 30ips modified by David Manley.
The mastering was done by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the entirely analog, tube-based Signoricci system.
