This album contains the five masses from the Missarum Liber Primus by renowned composer Pierluigi da Palestrina. The choir sings, conducted by Roberto Gabbiani, and is a must-see for all lovers of sacred music. Regarding the choice of location, Giulio Cesare Ricci made an exception by choosing not a historic venue, but the grand choir hall of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, chosen, designed, and built by Renzo Piano. Despite being a modern building, the acoustics are very natural thanks to the wood used in its construction. To enhance the venue's captivating acoustics, Giulio Cesare Ricci used the Signoricci system, which is entirely analog and tube-based. The legendary and original Neumann U47, U48, and M49 tube microphones were used for the recording. The songs were recorded from start to finish without any sound manipulation, without equalization, without reverb, without condensing or expanding the sound...
