Live in Paris was recorded at the end of November 2001 during a concert at the Olympia Theatre in Paris. Krall elegantly performs works from the Great American Songbook and gives them soul in her inimitable way. She is accompanied by Anthony Wilson (guitar), John Pisano (acoustic guitar), John Clayton (bass), Jeff Hamilton (drums) and Paulinho da Costa (percussion). The Orchestre Symphonique Européen is conducted by Alan Broadbent.
This hybrid SACD was remastered by Sound Max Studios in Hong Kong especially for the audiophile market in Asia. Experience has shown that these are subtle interventions that primarily attempt to avoid unnecessary compression. The master files from Universal Music in England were used for this purpose.
