The album 'Covers' was released exclusively in American Target stores in January 2013. In other countries, it was previously released either as a bonus disc of a Norah Jones album box set, and only in Japan as a separate release. As the title suggests, 'Covers' is a compilation of various cover versions that the cuddly American jazz singer has recorded over the years.
You can hear tracks by Wilco, Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and other pop and jazz greats. Horace Silver. Covers' contains no big surprises, but it does showcase Jones' first-rate taste.
This title is an SHM SACD. This format is the further development of the single-layer SACD and uses a particularly light-transparent plastic (Super High Material). It allows a much better readability of the pit-land structures on the surface than is possible with hybrid SACDs. Universal's SHM SACDs are generally re-digitized to DSD from the albums' master tapes without any changes. SHM SACDs can be played on any SACD player.
