Serge Prokofieff, become equally famous between the two world wars as a composer and as a pianist, wrote his piano works primarily for the purpose of own concert career. Except etudes, character pieces, Sonatinas and nine Sonatas counts his legacies for Piano five concerts, among them the fourth for the left hand alone, plus a 1952 begun, unfinished sixth for two pianos and string orchestra. Each of the five created between 1912-1932 Piano Concertos demonstrates the stylistic such as of the technical characteristics and changes of the Russian composer.
