With strong hooklines and catchy rock/post-grunge, Matchbox Twenty became one of the most popular American rock bands of the 90s. Their debut album, Yourself Or Someone Like You, sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Their biggest hit was the single "Push", written by leader Rob Thomas and Atlantic producer Matt Serletic, the same team behind Carlos Santana's worldwide hit "Smooth". Thomas has also written for other greats such as Mick Jagger and Willie Nelson.
Ryan K. Smith remastered the album for this reissue by Analogue Productions; the album is being released as a 45 rpm double LP in the "Atlantic75" series.
