René Laflamme is one of the most sought-after sound engineers in the industry. In the world of high-end hi-fi, he has earned an excellent reputation with his infallible instinct, with which he combines audio components for the best possible sound. Companies such as Nagra Audio and Kronos Audio hire him as a representative and seek advice from him. Together with André Perry, founder of the famous "Le Studio" in Quebec, he runs the 2xHD label and releases audiophile remasters using sophisticated technology.
The "70th Year Anniversary Collection Album" was mastered on Nagra devices in 2xHD and cut by the analog master tapes at Bernie Grundman Mastering. The four sides include pieces by Bill Evans, Louis Armstrong, Monty Alexander and Buddy Tate, as well as some amazing audiophile tracks recorded with the legendary Nagra IV-S band machine.
