Listening to the newly Remastered Supersonic Ultimate Sound One-Step Vinyl Disc of Lyn Stanley compilation of her previous releases (21 previous + 1 new tracks) gave me the meaning of a whole new level sound quality, vivid vocal intimacy…clearer minute detail in her expression, more weight and palpability (a surreal sensation of being next to the recording mike).
To me, whether it was her artistry in expressing/ singing the words in the songs’ lyrics,…or the great recording of capturing her singing and/or the totality of the whole performances,…the end result was ‘I got Lyn Stanley and her jazz band performed at my audio den‘ (played through the TECHDAS AIR FORCE ONE turntable, VERTERE REFERENCE tonearm, ORTOFON MC ANNA phono cart, FM ACOUSTICS 223 PHONOMASTER, FM ACOUSTICS 268C preamp, VITUS MASTERPIECE MP-M201 mono amplifiers, GRYPHON KODO loudspeakers or NAIM DBL loudspeakers, SKOGRAND cables)…the surreality was they were in the same space as me.
To illustrate further, here, I found the accompanied musicians and their respective instruments were given more vivid spacing…an almost exclusivity and thus individualism, in their artistry in the recording space,…even the instruments have greater weight and density,…and they even hit out harder dynamic without sacrificing refinement and minute details and contrast…that be what most audiophile prized!
In addition, the silence and space between each ‘utterance of word and note played’ were nothing short of impressive…each word and note were given ‘right amount‘ of space and time to express to their respective fullness…I got to hear them to their respective end and with enough space and time for the next (…game me an impression of easeness in an actual ‘LIVE’ event).
I literally listened to the entire album twice(!) consecutively…the listening experience was that impressive!
Finally, the quality of production of the vinyl disc is ‘definitely the best lately‘, and the packaging is heavy duty, thoughful and beautiful, nothing short of impressive too.

As an add on bonus, the album also include in it a booklet containing some delicious (Lyn’s) food recipes, how to decorate roses as a perfect centerpiece, and table setting at a romantic table for two too (Lyn is romantic indeed).
