Welcoming another excellent technician in our team

Let us introduce Peter Vodička, who joined us lately. He works mainly on renovation jobs. This his short story:
I was born in the time when germanium transistors was taking over vacuum tubes into the family of an electrical engineer who was working with electronics and IT and at that time was employed as a mainframe technician on NCR and SPERRY UNIVAC industrial computers. At the age of five, I was intensely enchanted by electronics and by music that spread in the room from my parents' tube phonograph.
The choice of profession was more or less clear at that time and I was heavily influenced by my father and his hobbies - electronics and music. After finishing eight years of experimental mathematics primary school, I had to decide whether to go to a math high school or a high school of electrical engineering with a focus on automation and audiovisual technology. Fate decided, and as I was not accepted to the math high school, I set out on the path of electrical engineering. And so I studied electronics, experienced the birth of the CD, the fall of the analog empire and the fast rise of digital era. After my studies, I started working as a technician at high-frequency equipment and transmitters, but in less than a year a big change came (communist era fall in 1989 and a velvet revolution) and the whole new world opened up to me. My affection for electronics was very strong, so I have opened my own business - consumer electronics service depot. I worked for several reputable companies.
Time passed, I got older and older, until one day I encountered an old tape recorder that I wished for as a young man, but I couldn't afford it. This revived my passion, i felt i need to catch up and indulge in the devices, which I admired when I was young, I heard playing from time to time, but did not own it. I discovered in myself a passion for quality analog music. Getting an decent audio system and collect quality music was difficult in my youth, during communist regime. And now, when i was able to get it and afford it, I have started to purchase good electronics and music i have ever wanted to own and listen to. The first REVOX came in poor condition, fortunately my skills and passion allowed me to fix the device to almost new condition, then came another two REVOX units, then STUDER and the associated worries of where to get parts, blank recording media and music. It so happened that I discovered a group of people just as passionate about analog sound and the devices associated with it. Current situation with a pandemic, more free time for lack of contracts in my business, a visit to SEPEAUDIO and it was decided. I joined the team that creates and restores tape recorders at a highly professional level and at the same time fulfills my dreams of participating in this process."
Welcome Peter and enjoy...
