This album is part of the recordings that Giulio Cesare Ricci made during the concerts of the first edition of the fonè Music Festival Piaggio 2019, organized by himself.
The concerts took place at the Piaggio Auditorium, located inside the famous Pontedera Museum, the place where Piaggio was born and where it continues to produce today. Inside the Museum, every year, audiences from around the world can admire Piaggio's production over the years, all the Vespa and Ape models, and all the Aprilia, Gilera, and Moto Guzzi motorcycles that have won national and international awards over time.
For each recording, Giulio Cesare Ricci brought all his equipment, both analog (Ampex ATR 102 Electronic Tube Ampex Model 351-1965, 2-track, 1/2-inch, 30fps modified by David Manley) and digital (Pyramix Recorder, dCS A/D and D/A converters).
For microphones, he used his original collection of Neumann U47, U48, and M49 microphones, as well as a Signoricci microphone preamplifier and cables.
This is because Giulio Cesare Ricci has always produced two masters for each recording: an analog master for Vinyl and a DSD digital master for SuperAudioCD.
For this recording, he also used a "field effect" recording technique, producing a natural sound without the use of equalizers, expansion, or compression systems. All this to bring the listener back to their home hi-fi system, experiencing the live effect as if they were present at the concert.
After the success of the album Anxanum, Andrea Castelfranato returns to the fonè catalog with an album recorded live by Giulio Cesare Ricci at the fonè Music Festival Piaggio 2019.
Live, the artist performed some previously unreleased songs, including "Frammenti di conchiglia," "Acquamarina," "Selam," and "Solitude," etc.
Among the songs, we find "La prima cosa bella" by Nicola Di Bari, a great classic of Italian song.
Plus, an unforgettable medley: "Africa" (Toto), "Billie Jean" (Michael Jackson), "Staying Alive" (Bee Gees), "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" (Gloria Gaynor), and "O'Sole Mio" (Di Capua).
The album closes with an encore concert featuring Henry Mancini's "La Pantera Rosa," which appears in the "La Pantera Rosa" compilation that Giulio Cesare Ricci has been recording in recent years.
On this album, Andrea Castelfranato once again demonstrates his mastery of the acoustic and nylon guitar, playing with great technique and virtuosity.
A live performance full of emotion.
Great realism, great dynamics, great music...an album not to be missed!!
Every listener, closing their eyes, will be able to relive the emotion of the live performance as if they were present at this great artist's exhibition.
