The professional collaboration and friendship between Salvatore and Accardo and Giulio Cesare Ricci.
The recording was performed by Giulio Cesare Ricci in the splendid historic Sala del Gonfalone in Rome, with very special acoustics.
He used the legendary Neumann U47 and M49 microphones.
The mastering was done by Giulio Cesare Ricci using the all-analog, tube-based Signoricci system.
The master was created by transferring the analog master recorded with the Nagra 4s 15ips, 2 tracks, 1/4 inch, to a dCS A/D Converter DSD.
"As no editing has been done, all the tracks on this record are heard as they were performed."
They are all pieces for violin and piano (Laura Manzini on piano).
Heiftez was a great violinist and, as a composer, he wrote great works for violin and piano; all "salon" compositions that are very catchy, fun, virtuosic, and very dynamic.
